HTC 7 Mozart Price, Plans on Smart Exclusive

The upcoming HTC 7 Mozart will be exclusive to Smart Comm. and we’ve got some updates on the pricing plans for the postpaid account.

Yugatech 728x90 Reno7 Series

New Postpaid Subscribers:
Plan 1500 – Php18,000
Plan 2000 – Php13,000
Plan 3000 – Php2,500
Plan 4000 – Free

Retention Plan

Plan 1500 – Php17,500
Plan 2000 – Php12,500
Plan 3000 – Php2,000
Plan 4000 – Free

These plans normally come with a 24-month contract.

Looks like there’s no prepaid kit plan if you want to get it that way. From the looks of the postpaid plans, it looks like the HTC Mozart is more expensive than a 16GB iPhone 4 (Plan 1799 + Php10.5k gets you an iPhone 4 while Plan 2000 + Php12.5k gets you an HTC Mozart).

Smart is doing roadshow today to demo and get pre-orders for the HTC Mozart. See earlier story here.

And yes, that is additional charges even if you do not exceed the data cap.

“IMO, Smart Gold is a mess. Don’t ever try to subscribe to their plan, I’m telling you. If you love this phone, better get a prepaid kit or buy from the gray market.

Availing a postpaid plan on Smart will give you endless headaches and mountain piles of empty blisters pack of paracetamol.”

Smart Gold is fine. But the Smart Gold Unlimited Data Plans are a mess. I am not talking about the data cap. It is all the additional data charges over the unlimited data.

Smarts Plan 2000 has unlimited data, 150 minutes of fee calls and 200 text. Globe Plan 1799 is consumable with 5 freebies.

Maybe a better comparison is Globe P1799 + P1,200 (unlimited internet) versus Smart Plan 3000 which has 300 minutes of calls and 240 free texts. At this plan the Mozart will only cost another P2500. The iPhone 10,800.

been using HTC HD7 (unlocked) for more than a week now with Globe sim. Binenta ko na iphone ko. hehe. In my opinion, WP7 is better than iphone. Sobrang responsive ng UI. I own an ipad, so halos hindi na nagagamit apps ng iphone.

Php4000 a month and all you get is unlimited internet?

You can get the 16GB iPhone 4 from Globe Telecommunications at Plan 3799, which gives you unlimited internet, with Php3,799 of consumable credits that you can use for calls and SMS.

    Hhhmmm…

you may want to recheck the “microsoft incompatibility” thing back there. as i’ve been able to work on mac and pc interchangeably along with MS Office and iWorks with no issues.

if you loved iOS4, you will appreciate OSX too.

Whoever’s in charge with this pricing is an idiot as this only pushes people to consider buying other smartphones from other carrier. I really hope that other models will be offered at a more “affordable” price. Smart’s pricing is a little frustrating specially for those who have been waiting for WP7 to hit local shores.

People who buy stuff just to achieve a certain “stature” is a retard. People who buys stuff based on his needs are wiser.
