PLDT myDSL Upgrades Bandwidth Speed

I’ve been wondering why almost 2 weeks now, my DSL connection has been acting up on me. It connects just fine but in a few minutes, there’s no internet then it comes back again then gone another minute. When I called up the customer rep the other day to downgrade my account, I explained to them that one of the reasons why I wanted to downgrade wast the broken promise they made last January.

Just now, while experience the same irritating problem with the dsl going on and off, I tried to check on my bandwidth speed at PLDTPlay and got this:

PLDT myDSL Upgrades

I couldn’t believe at first by I also tried other broadband speed test sites:

TestMy. net : 787 Kbps or 0.79 Mbps (96 kB/s)
2Wire : 700.10 Kbps
SpeakEasy : 556 kbps or 69.5 KB/sec.

Looks like a legit upgrade. Ok, lemme try with Limewire. :D

Try to use http://www.2wire.com this is a much better checker for the speed then PLDT has. I advice you also to get an IP address from the US, you will get better speed as well. Or, take out any security on your PC but download all in a imagefolder and deepfreeze all so that your PC remains clean. This is done by some Internet cafe”s as well.

I also heared there is a Spanish firm called FON, they offering DSL by just downloading their sofware, however i need to find out more about this.

I hope this helps you out,

      Regards,
      Steve

How do you get an ip address from the US when you live in the Philippines and your isp is in the Philippines?

Is this service free? I’ve read of such ip changers but they charge exorbitant fees.

Hey! What’s all these ruckus about?

      IKAW PLDT

Lack of brain + irresponsible company = buti nga sa inyo

‘Di mo pa rin ba kasi get? MyDSL simply means “Their DSL”, not yours, eng2x! Eh di sana sinabi nilang “Your DSL”, eh kaso hindi.

So in the end, ikaw ang talo. Sila pa rin ang panalo. Mahigit anim (6) na milyon kaya kayong biktima di kayo magdemanda. Tig pi-piso kayong ambag kahit si Fortun kaya nyong arkilahin. Kita pa kayo kung sakaling manalo kayo.

      Outahere…

I think you must check first if your operating system is not infected of different spy ware software or add ware.
