Those looking to watch the upcoming Pacquiao-Clottey boxing match this March 14 will be glad to know that they can do so via PLDT myDSL Watchpad for free.

Now, PLDT myDSL Watchpad is all geared up for the biggest entertainment event of the year – the Pacquiao-Clottey Fight on March 14, 2010. The live streaming of this event will be absolutely FREE to all myDSL Subscribers.*

If you want to get the best seats in the house, in front of your PC, register now to the the Pacquiao-Clottey Fight by logging on to your Watchpad. Logging on will also update your Watchpad Player for a better viewing experience.

We now have 18 channels that you can enjoy for free. You can download the Online Streaming Player at www.pldtwatchpad.com

I’ve tried the myDSL Watchpad before during the last Pacquiao fight and it didn’t really worked nicely. I was told that they’ve gathered all the feedback and have corrected the system accordingly. This time around, PLDT hopes to redeem itself by offering the live online streaming for free to all myDSL subscribers.

Disclosure: PLDT has just signed up as advertiser on this blog.

im not willing to bet on this, simply not worth the risk of solely relying on pldt dsl for this another huge pacquiao fight. no way!

A friend of mine told me that it’s not worth it. Well, I haven’t tried it cause you can always watch it on tv. By the way, I saw you Yuga. You’re on tv! Hehe!

I don’t think they have subjected the watchpad through massive traffic generated testing. Streaming through sites like Justin.tv was better to think that these sites are accessed by more viewers. And before attempting another pacman fight, which could result to the dissapointment similar to the last fight, they should have showcased similar viewings to test if they are indeed ready, (opening and closing of the winter olympics for example).

Haayy sana maging efficient na sila this time, pero back up nalang sa pay per view kaysa mainis ka imbes na maexcite ka sa laban

Mas okay pa nga ang Stream sa SOPCAST libre na hindi pa sira… I doubt kung maging okay yang watchpad this time baka hindi kayanin ng system nila. Tsaka may problem sa Terms and Conditions pag nagregister kasi anytime in the future pagnaisipan ng pldt magcharge ng fee eh automatic ka na malagyan ng charge sa bill mo kaya beware guys.

ALWAYS READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE SIGNING UP SA ANYTHING LALO NA SA MGA FREE SERVICE KUNO.

I sure hope they’ll hit the spot this time, we all know what happened the last time they advertise the Pacquiao – Cotto fight. It was a knockout on PLDTs part.

There’s no harm in trying, since watchpad is free to MY DSL subscribers… unless they changed that already… hmm….

i doubt it if makakasurvive ang watchpad na yan. sa sobrang dami ng traffic baka bumigay ang system. masakit sa ulo pag nagbabuffer. nakakawalang gana.

too bad I can’t watch it since it requires Windows Media Player (already shifted to Linux Mint) unless I try it with Wine. (test it later)

ooops….. there are a lot of ways to watch the fight and some are more reliable…. a lot are also free….

Whoa! Hope this time “I’ll be sweeter”, as the song goes. Last time I heard, heavy traffic scored a knockout on this service.

Maybe they should include the sentence: “Service Guaranteed or Get Your Money Back!” Maybe..just maybe people will believe they can deliver.

marami na nagsbe nyan that when they subscribe, they didn’t get what pldt has promised. umasa lng daw sila.. –

as for me, what i do is to lock myself in the room watching the regular telecast and no changing in news channels. even delayed i still feel it is the live broadcast haha — crazy me lol

    Totally sucked.

Registered as required and I am a MyDSL 1299 subscriber.

Logged in before the fight and it was already choppy with significant lag/buffering time.

Got out for a bit and have not been able to log back in. Error messages and the WatchPad app keeps on crashing.

Really crappy customer experience; PLDT shouldn’t even have tried this.

what more can you expect from pldtdsl? nothing but sorry ass excuses as well lies in advertising. Gma 7 suck big time as well. i wont pay a penny just to watch this fight. its cramped!

  28. Gravatar Icon Joey replied on Mar 14th, 2010 at 1:51 pm (28)

    Ahem.

I have to take back my last comment. Was finally able to get into WatchPad and it worked fine!

Resolution wasn’t best but the streaming was fine without any buffering or stops/

Props to PLDT. Worked this time!
