[...] Yuga and the rest of the blogsphere immediately responded, giving Sigaw ng Bayan a crash course in web analytics. And in case Sigaw ng Bayan spokesperson Raul Lambino doesn’t believe them, he can check out Wikipedia. All in all (and any techie worth his salt knows this), hits don’t equal to page visits. And page visits don’t necessarily equal unique visitors. But Lambino still had to stir the hornet’s nest, posting a reply that would make any techie cringe. Jepoy dissects Lambino’s explanation, summarily describing the experience as “like a CISCO certified individual listening to a 1st year Nursing student trying to explain the very basics of the internet.” [...]

[...] I found this story from Mike Abundo’s blog, which made me cringe with anger at those pseudo-techies, especially those who translate hits to actual individual human beings. The tale starts with Inq7’s article that Sigaw ng Bayan website achieved 9 million hits in 3 weeks, prompting reactions from the more tech-savvy bloggers, including Dean Jorge Bocobo, Village Idiot Savant, and Yuga. But the one that really got me angered was the explanation of the original blogger on how Sigaw ng Bayan achieved their so-called phenomenon ( as posted in Jepoy’s blog). Boy that explanation really got my blood boiling. Dear pseudo-techies, tossing around tech words like access logs, IP addresses, and megabytes of storage does not make you tech-savvy. The nerve of Sigawngbayan translating hits to people voting against Charter Change!
Caching depends on the browser and the browser settings used. With ISPs, they only cache files/apps that are frequently downloaded in their network.

"Ctrl + F5" is forced refresh. This means all pages, files and images are pulled from the server bypassing any cache.

Question, when you do a second refresh, don't the images load from the local cache or your ISP's cache?

Their website does'nt even appear in google SERP using "sigaw ng bayan" keyword. What is the website URL again, Abe? Have you verify the website traffic ranking using alexa?
