Many of those may be from eGroups before it was acquired and merged to Yahoo! Clubs. Then there was another ML which came before eGroups and was acquired by eGroups (can't remember its name anymore). I remember there are many Filipinos and Asians from eGroups and that other ML service that eGroups acquired (which led some to believe that it was the reason Yahoo! acquired eGroups, coz Yahoo!
