I’ve read almost all of the comments here and will confirm some facts, based on experience:

4.) Downloading from Megaupload/Rapideshare/etc.

Forget about it. 95% of the time, it will tell you that your IP is being used by someone else. This is due to the fact that your IP is NOT UNIQUE TO YOURSELF and is being used by MOST ALL THE SUBSCRIBERS IN YOUR AREA.

I am not sure if it’s the whole region/country, but all I know is it’s not uniquely yours.

5.) ROUTERS/WIRELESS

WILL <> WORK UNLESS YOU CALL YOUR TECH SUPPORT AND ASK THEM ABOUT YOUR:

STATIC IP ADDRESS
including: NETWORK MASK & GATEWAY

ALSO, YOU MAY NEED TO SET UP A SPECIAL SETTING SO THAT YOUR ROUTER and MODEM CAN COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER THROUGH THEIR MAC ADDRESSES

IT IS CABLE INTERNET

1.) PPPoE … thereby you don’t get ->

I myself have had no MAJOR problems with Sky and will continue with their service in the future.

Week days 3am-2pm is ok ... not great but ok. any other times it is horrible. and there is no noticeable difference in gaming between the 3 6 and 12 mbps. And 100 usd for 12mbps? are they crazy? i dont care what kind of freebies they give you, on Guam ( uses same servers in china that Sky does i was getting basic cable 100mbps internet for 35 usd a month.
