The very crux of your writing while appearing reasonable at first, did not really work perfectly with me personally after some time. Somewhere throughout the sentences you actually were able to make me a believer unfortunately just for a very short while. I still have got a problem with your jumps in logic and you would do well to help fill in all those breaks. If you can accomplish that, I would definitely end up being fascinated.

For less than a cup of fancy coffee per day, avail of an affordable and proven Enterprise Class GPS Tracker and Automatic Vehicle Locator with Fleet and Fuel Management.

No huge capital investment required, monthly subscription fee includes equipment rental. You get technology protection and lifetime warranty. Monitor your fleet anywhere there is internet connection even on your smartphone.

* 24x7 Monitoring via www.gpstracker.ph
* Save on fuel consumption & maintenance cost by monitoring & controlling over speeding
* Prevent driver side jobs
* Minimize accidents & theft
* Sends vehicle position every 59 seconds (up to 43,200 logs/month)
* View detailed report history up to 90-days (or while storage space is available)
* Save reports as .PDF or .XLS
* Select between Google Maps and OpenStreet Maps (more maps coming soon)

Fuel costs account for 28-30% of most fleet’s budgets. With increasing fuel costs, reducing fuel consumption is now one of the most important issues facing fleet managers. Prolonged idling and excessive speeding make driver behavior the number one factor in fuel consumption. Use our GPSTracker to monitor, document and eliminate this type of behavior.

By tracking and controlling driver speeding behavior, a company can reduce accidents by a significant percentage. An accident reduction of 5% for a 50-vehicle fleet amounts to nearly 3 fewer accidents each year.

60 minutes of idling is equivalent to between 80 and 120 minutes of driving time. The resulting loss of fuel economy from excessive idling can add up to 800 gallons of fuel annually for the average truck. (Argonne National Laboratories)

@Bigbird - tried using my iPhone 3G. Looks better because you can zoom in and out easily and is quite faster actually. Problem though is that it not not track the route I took.

BTW these are data intensive applications, so better to switch to unlimited charging rates or time based charging.

@jhay - it's actually Google Maps. Not that accurate.

@Gloria - used LifeVine on a Nokia N82.

@Dagger - I have an iPhone 3G, haven't tried it from there though since it drains the battery very fast.

@Jerome - Saw it in CyberZone, Megamall. yeah, I thought it was expensive too. I should look for that Php24k one you mentioned.

@Bigbird - will try the alternatives. This one is using Google Maps.

Don't need to have extravagant phone just to have GPS on your mobile. You can use other killer apps like Google Mobile Maps and Mobile GMaps. They have a deep level access to SS7 connectivity. And can PIN your location realtime.

40k for an N810? That's too much. The last one I saw was around 24k at Infomaxx at Megamall and Trinoma. Unless they jacked up the price. I could have gotten one if I had enough reason for it, but alas, I'm quite satisfied with my current gear.

As a Civil Engineer working for the government, I really find useful the applications in my N82. The GPS with sports tracker is a very helpful tool especially in preliminary route surveys and GIS applications. The camera is superb for documentation purposes.
