Does the tv pass Dolby Digital signals? Example…If I were to plug a PS3 to HDMI inputs of the TV and i had optical output plugged to Dolby Digital receiver, does it pass the signals to the receiver?

I have a 40″ LCD Sammy purchased 2 years ago and in the manual they mentioned of this limitation. Does the same hold true for the latest / greatest.

Also is there a capability for firmware upgrade?

Abe, I tried using natural, dynamic, movie and standard modes but they are inferior compared to just the natural mode of their competing brand. When it comes to games I think Samsugn LED is better but when it comes to movies where complicated colors are present, I won’t recommend it.

@Art – what picture mode were you using? The Movie Mode isn’t too bright, IMO.

Samsung LED TVs are realy good with games but when you watch HD movies with it, the picture is so unnatural. Also the color red in my laptop is black when I connect it to my Samsung LED, trying to solve this problem now .
