Major step for technology – energy efficient, improved pictures. But……. price is still absurd and there are still very few worthy video productions to appreciate real HD. But if Hollywood fiction makes you happy and you have a nice HD player, this baby should be in your shopping list.

well it is aesthetically pleasing but does the picture compare to it’s CCFL counterparts? Since bottom line you’re buying the TV to watch stuff on it not to just hang it on the wall.

@josewerkz, not sure about the LCD but Samsung said their LED has something like 40 thousand hours to maintain its current brightness. After that, the brightness starts to fade a bit.
