Back in early 2003, before I switched to Wordpress from my own custom-built blog CMS, there used to be several hard-core Wordpress users around. Actually, there was even a Wordpress Meet-up somewhere in UP Diliman at that time. Lorelle of Wordpress even has a page up for such Wordpress-related events.
After I was converted, I’ve evangelized about the greatness of Wordpress and has since installed hundreds upon hundreds of Wordpress blog. So, now that it looks like WP is a hands-down winner (practically default blog software around here), do we need a local Wordpress Group or event such as the ones they have in Malaysia?
Is there anyone out there still with that original Wordpress Group back in 2002/03 out there doing some projects or events?

that would indeed be a very good idea… para naman meron local support sa mga nahihirapan gumamit ng wordpress… when i 1st blogged, it was during the time pa of b2, and when wordpress was born out of b2, i immediately switched and never looked back… maganda ito… sigurado sasali ako dyan…
We already have a pinoy wordpress group now. But a few years ago, I was talking to Gail about starting a wordpress-ph group, a local counterpart of the various groups in other international locations. Maybe we can discuss this with the current pinoywordpress yahoogroup and make something bigger and more official.
