indieKarma Micropayments

Here’s a nice blog micropatron system — indieKarma.

Basically, when you open an indieKarma account with just one dollar, every time you visit a blog or website on the indieKarma network, it deducts a penny from your account and credit the account of the site you’re visiting. It’s like paying for content, a penny at a time.

With indieKarma, bloggers or website owners adds a dock at the bottom of their site. That way, the system will know and credit the visited blogs properly.

Seems like a nice idea. A penny is around Php0.50 which isn’t much but if I’m a voracious blog reader, it could easily add up to a couple hundred pesos, even thousands, per month.

How about those sites, the owners I don’t really like but I just happen to land on their site? I’m still automatically debitted, ain’t I?
