i.PH on Ajax and the free .COM.PH blog

Listen to article

During the 2nd Blogging Summit, i.PH officially announced the upcoming re-launch of their blogging service. I didn’t get to see the presentation and asked some questions although one of their executives briefed me on the new ajaxy features later that day.

They actually sent me a sample account just the other day so I could take a first look at it and provide them with suggestions. Though I was never a user of i.PH before, I have had enough experience from handling other client’s accounts for migration so I’m fairly familiar with what it can and cannot do.

This new version has some likeliness with “Protopage crossed with MySpace” and a whole bunch of new modules and integration incorporated in it so you just have to enable or disable them and re-arrange. Anyway, I will reserve my full review once I have more time to tinker around. This one should better be good or else more and more people will move over to us. :D

On the other update, Enthropia (developers of BlogFlux and evoTopSites) has partnered with plogHost to provide the free blog and .COM.PH domain (correction from my previous entry about .PH — it’s just the .COM.PH namespace they’re promoting). Actually we’re just giving some huge discount to Enthropia for the hosting part. Over half a dozen people have been promised to be given their accounts soon so if you want to be included in the list, go check with their official spokesperson. J Angelo will explain the rest.
