WeblogsInc to be sold to AOL

(via PaidContent.org) Yay, the Million-Dollar-A-Year blog network WeblogsInc of Jason Calacanis is rumored to being sold to AOL for an un-disclosed amount ($20 Million seems to the hte lowest figure that’s floating around).

Rafat Ali of PaidContent.org posted this exclusive earlier today and muses that “this is perhaps the first pure content-related company being bought out in the blog/ Web 2.0 space…or at least of this scale“.

Recently, Jason Calacanis recently announced in his blog that his blog network of about 90 blogs and 130 bloggers is earning about $1 Million a year (based on daily revenues from AdSense). His network includes the ubercool sites such as Engadget and AutoBlog.

Blogs do really have some kick-ass value these days. *ka-ching*
