Monday Labor Day

calendar Due to Presidential Proclamation 837, Monday May 2, 2005 is a Special Non Working Holiday, so this is gonna be one long week-end for everybody. ;)

That’s one thing some people liked GMA, she mad the sandwiched Holidays a trend — moving and re-arranging the calendar to make way for special occassions and the lot. :D

I also heard from a friends who works at DILG that they’re already enjoying the 4-day work-week. They just have to squeeze in 11 office hours from Mondays to Thursdays. Neat!

It’s pretty useless for GMA to have declared 2 May a holiday though — seeing as how she did it so late in the game. Too late to plan vacations or out of town trips (so no extra chance to spur tourism this weekend). And Monday meetings all had to be cancelled last minute, placing wreaking havoc on pre-established schedules. =(

You have a point there. But knowing her and from past proclamations, I already expected a May 2 holiday. Too bad it was a bit tad late since they sent out the announcements nung Friday na.
