Sony Ericsson’s Secret XPeria Rachel UI

This yet-to-be-official new XPeria phone from Sony Ericsson is codenamed Rachel. Powered by the Android OS, the UI has been fully customized as shown in the video demo below.

Sony Ericsson dropped Windows Mobile from the original XPeria and went with the current favorite, Android.

According to GSMArena, the phone will be running the Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon platform (with speeds up to 1.0 GHz) and a dedicated graphics accelerator. It’s going to have a large 4-inch screen with a resolution in the vicinity of 800×480 pixels.

Ahhhhh! This has been getting a lot of raves in the blogosphere. I am glad that I didn’t wait for the N97. As it is, I’m 50% close to ditching my E75. Thinking of waiting it out for the E72 OR getting an LG Arena OR getting an Iphone 3G (no S). But this one might push my plans back some more. I wonder though with the Chrome OS burning the wires, if Android will have future potential still.
