Complink SM North EDSA has a few units of the Asus Vivobook S400 now available. This unit has a core i5 cpu, 500 GB Sata + 24 GB SSD, 14 ” display. Sells at 35,995, 0% for 12 months (as indicated by Asus previously).
Still no X202E with Core i3. They say maybe this Sunday or the coming week.

The unit it self is cool to look at, just like a “macbook” the touchscreen panel is very responsive and it is very light to carry around.

It is a value for money :)

Will the legacy Windows programs run on X202e? If not, can we dual boot it with Windows 7? Expert reply will be appreciated, thanks!

Medyo confusing lang about sa bluetooth ng s400. Pumunta ako sa ibang sites to learn more, may nagsabing wala daw to’ng bluetooth, pero may nagsabing meron daw – 4.0.

Been wanting that Zenbook Touch since it was introduced months ago! :( Why so expensive?? :(

    • Avatar for Dann Rubio Dann Rubio says:

Because specs-wise, the Zenbook series is touted to be the Macbook killer. And it is, in all aspects. It’s just that for an additional PhP 5~6K, you can get the equivalent Macbook with the same specs (It’s all about the branding, bro!)

  15. Avatar for Jay Jay says:

the UX31A has sweet specs! too bad it’s priced way above my means. the S400 would’ve been perfect but the 1366 x 768 rez is kinda disappointing but not bad for 35995. Decisions decisions.

kailan pa naging pangit ang 1366 x 768

      zzzzz

I agree with Jay. I have a 14″ laptop with a 1366×768 display and it leaves a lot to be desired, even when just viewing photos. But for P36K I think this laptop is a very good deal already.

14″ for 36k, wow. Sapat na sakin configuration nia. Mukhang bibili nako nyan. Pero inaantay ko pa si pareng Toshiba.

If Asus were to release a quad-core AMD A8 version of these laptops, I’ll buy it without a second. I just want to have a powerful laptop (quad core + discrete class graphics)for cheap!

AMD definitely deserves some love in their efforts in making performance more accessible at a low price.

36k for a Win8 core i5 notebook. so similarly spec’d win8 tablets would be south of 50k when they arrive!

  19. Avatar for edisson edisson says:

So 11″ is too small. Thank God Asus released 14.1″ laptop though it will look small to my sister’s 15″ toshiba.
