LG & Nokia Sale: The Aftermath

By this time, both the LG Optimus One and the Nokia C6 sale are both over and we’ve got multiple reports from various locations about how it went down. Estimates put hundreds to thousands of people lined up for both sale.

Our ground correspondents tell us there were a lot of people who were in the malls even before the gates were opened. Here’s a photo of the line in there today.

People were running from floor to floor just to line up for each of the sale. As expected, the events were disorganized and for the lack of a better term, chaotic. At the end of the sale, people were booing and shouting to boycott LG.

Unfortunately, only an estimated 20 to 30 people were able to buy the Optimus One per location in the one-hour window. We’re still getting numbers for the Nokia C6 but I imagine it will be like double that number for the 2-hour period.

Share us your experience below if you were there today.

Lalo na ung marketing nila eh mukhang tri-media and several days before pa eh umeere na. LG should have expected na sandamukal na tao talaga ang pipila.. tsktsk..

    @ ihateLG

“mention LG and i’m going to puke right away.”

same here. i was recently recommending a phone to a friend, the LG model came up, i immediately said huwag yan, panget yan. hehehe. nakakasuka talaga LG.

am i sourgraping? i think not. i’m just reacting as a normal human being. if a company does not value me as a person and customer, why should i even consider what they have to offer?

Update: DTI replied to my complaint regarding Last Saturday’s Fiasco. They said they will review it but they need evidences like proof of purchase. Tsk. I was not able to purchase nga kasi of that fail event handling. I even clearly stated that the product itself is not what’s faulty, but the event handling…i sent them video links, blog entries, and pictures of what happened. They may not be merited as evidences…..

    Do you believe in God?

If you do not, please have mercy on your soul. You may refer to the link below:

If you do, then try to have the heart to understand and have the heart to be sympathetic/empathic enough on why we felt or feel this way.

    expected!

once is enough. twice? i don’t think so.

I’d rather go to another brand which do not deceive and works truthfully.

  12. AkoMizmo says:

    that is expected!

once is ok. but twice? no way. sorry.

I’d rather buy other brand which has a nice system and knows truth.

    well, i’m just a seventeen-year old, but here’s my say-so.

yeah, it was pretty messed up. though i got the chance to purchase a c6, the crowd as well as the event (as expected), was pretty much in the mood of desperation of buying something so hot, cool, and fabulous at the peak of it’s “pricedowns”.

some were even desperate enough to take and beg for numbers so as to buy the cellphones.

    no offense meant here :)

    cheery.oo ;)

    Went there. – Megamall :|

They should have told the people that they couldn’t accommodate EVERYONE as early as 11am.

They made us put our information for another offer promo at their office at Pasig.

DO YOU REALLY THINK WE’D GO AFTER THE CHAOS SALE?

    Don’t waste your time. AGAIN.

I sure hope I lined up at Nokia, it looked WAY ORGANIZED.

Not offending or fighting. Just giving my opinion.

Mon Makuto, I think that is an irresponsible statement.

  17. earlybird says:

@ Superpinoy, walang kinalaman si God sa katangahan mo pumila, again commonsense lang yan, and yes my soul is happy kasi di ako tali sa hunger ko magkaroon ng material wealth or this phone na obviously meron kang matinding pagnanasa. kung meron ok, kung wala, ok lang din but stop bitching about it. wag ka na palate next time para earlybird ka rin. tweet tweet
