Google+ Games is coming, you playing?

Google is set to roll out the inevitable — Google+ Games. The added feature on Google+ is still on limited access only so a few users have it activated in their accounts.

Expect to see Angry Birds, Bejeweled and the likes to be there once it becomes available for Philippine users.

You should see this once it’s activated in your account:

Will social games make people use Google+ more and give them reason to stay longer? If it did the wonders for Facebook many years ago, it might do the same for Google+ as well.

As long as there is a way to block their nag messages from reaching my stream then I am fine with having people play inane games to waste their time. :)

I wonder if they have platform-specific games or something like an Android backend emulator so they can use the crapload of Android games out there.

As for me, no thanks. If I want flash/html5 browser-based gaming, it’s Kongregate/Armor/Newgrounds for me. Dedicated gaming sites still trump social network-gaming for non-time-waster games (i.e. Farmville/Mafia Wars).

I wouldn’t play games on my Google+ Account and I will block them all. Why? Because that’s the same thing I did in Facebook!

    Shiny New Object Syndrome, guys!
