Google intros ‘relationships’ option in Voice Search

With Google‘s update for Android smartphones, the company has announced that it will be introducing a new feature that lets users voice search a contact by simply saying their relationship to him/her.

For example, one could simply say, “Okay Google, call Dad” or “Okay Google, send a text to my sister,” to skip browsing through the entire phone book.

To use this feature, the user must allow the Google app to have access to the user’s contacts and should also update its information under the “Relationship” category of that specific contact whether it’s your brother, sister, mom, etc.

Now, calling loved ones can be done even when you’re cooking, shopping, or simply feeling lazy to dial them up.
