Looks like Samsung is bringing in their co-branded Google Nexus S to the Philippines this quarter, according to a reliable source that sent us a tip. The indicative price — about Php28,500. Not bad, eh?
Samsung’s target delivery date is between March and April of 2011 but I’m hoping it will be as early as this month.

Google Nexus S
4.0″ Super AMOLED @ 480×800 pixels
1GHz Cortex A8 (Hummingbird) processor
16GB iNAND flash memory
512MB RAM
HSDPA (7.2Mbps) HSUPA (5.76Mbps)
WiFi 802.11 n/b/g
Bluetooth 2.1+EDR
Near Field Communication (NFC)
Assisted GPS (A-GPS)
microUSB 2.0
5 megapixels camera
720 x 480 video resolution
LED Flash
1500 mAH Lithum Ion
Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)
The Google Nexus S has been selling in the grey market for some time now and units have been spotted in GreenHills as early as January with a street price of Php35,000. The Php28,500 SRP sure makes it a good deal.

its a good phone. moreover, i just got the OTA to 2.3.3. no complains so far. both my nexus s and nexus one are on the latest gingerbread version. good deal considering all other handsets that do not run stock android are just having a taste of froyo. if you are not into waiting for the OS updates to roll along, this is the handset to get.

this is a good phone. if it sells around 28k this march, i might but it.
if we continue to wait for the next best thing, we might end up not buying anything at all.
let’s say i wait for the SE, the motorolla, or LG, even another samsung. then, on the month they release it here, they announced that another better phone will be introduce a month after.
better enjoy the best phone right now. rather than keep on waiting.
just my 2 cents worth.

Less than 28k at Greenhills? Is it brand new or does it have any warranty to back it up? I’m looking at this phone to replace my stolen Nexus One.
