After a series of leaks and speculations, Google has officially unveiled the latest version of their content store dubbed as Play Store version 4.0.
The announcement came from the head honcho of Google Play Store, Mr. Michael Siliski and is published under the Official Android blog site.
In essence, the redesigned UI of the Play Store 4.0 is geared towards making things easier for Android users to discover other applications (or other offerings for that matter) that are relevant to the one they’ve purchased/installed. The team is planning to accomplish this by providing a “simplified” purchase process and UI overhaul which now features a magazine-inspired theme.
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to take advantage all of the new features of the app because we’re not in the list of countries which has full access to Google Play Store’s product offerings.
The roll out of the update will commence today and will be compatible with Android handsets and slates running on Android Froyo or higher. However, due to the number of different Android devices (with the exception of Nexus devices perhaps), not to mention the different screen sizes, it may take some time before it hits your device.

Excellent blog! Do you have any hints for aspiring writers?
I’m hoping to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out
there that I’m totally overwhelmed .. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
