SCOPE:
Work closely with all other aspects of General Services and their customers. This will require the ability to communicate your thoughts clearly and concisely among peers of diverse backgrounds. Be able to demonstrate the ability and have the experience to ensure that suppliers adhere to Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and that any service issue is promptly resolved. You also be required to create and manage budgets within a complex financial structure.
FUNCTION:
To ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction, service excellence and operational effectiveness through the professional, competent, knowledgeable and complete management and control over regional business and employee foodservice activities and related programs including: financial accounting, support, MIS, contractor management and control systems.
THE ROLE:
· Management and supervision of contract staff in the cafeterias and pantries.
· Management and coordination of activities in the conference center.
· Management and supervision of supplier’s performance against contractual expectations.
· Meeting with suppliers, building a professional relationship.
· Develop menus, programs and concepts with the caterer for deployment in the cafeteria.
· Ability to develop, implement and analyze KPI’s.
· Develop annual surveys, interpret data and implement plans and actions as a result.
· Coordinate with facilities to ensure proper sanitation levels are maintained.
· Ensure all equipment and serving areas are kept in proper working condition.
· Interpret such data, identifying opportunities for efficiency, consolidation and cost savings.
· Budget development and management.
· Analyze and report deviations from contractual and departmental targets.
· Undertake market reviews and benchmarking exercises to ensure activities continue to be competitive while taking into account the specific service and quality
requirements.
· Liaise with the construction team on relevant projects.
· Work with Sourcing on new agreements with suppliers.
· Optimize the relationship between suppliers and JPMC. Develop a win-win relationship.
· A high degree of interpersonal skills, tact and diplomacy are required. This position will provide the interface between the supplier and the internal customer. Problems
have to be resolved often within very tight time frames requiring the ability to remain focused on the current issue.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications
· Strong client focus.
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
· 3-5 years recent and relevant foodservice experience.
· Ability to develop long term program strategies.
· Flexibility/multitask capability.
· Strong interpersonal/relationship management skills.
· Organized/detail oriented.
· Budget management and accountability experience necessary.
