Employee Relations Manager (Vice President)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working in close partnership with HR Business Partners and reporting to the Regional Head of Employee Relations in Hong Kong, you will:
* Manage ER cases including disciplinary issues, grievances, performance monitoring and investigations, to successful resolution
* Provide communication and training to employees and managers regarding J.P. Morgan policies and support a positive workplace environment
* Develop, interpret, communicate and maintain ER policies, processes and education programs
* Develop, recommend and implement region-wide and country-specific ER policies and activities
* Conduct organization audits to identify ER issues and propose appropriate actions to address and resolve those issues
* Manage ER-related projects
* Handle highly sensitive matters such as workplace violence, ‘senior/executive level’ sexual harassment claims, etc.
* Develop and deliver interactive HR, employee, management and leadership education based on trends in ER activity and changes in employment law
* Advise on negotiated departures
* Advise on ER aspects of Mergers/Acquisitions; off shoring, RFPs, outsourcing projects.
* Your clients will include: individual employees, HR Business Partners and Business Managers
REQUIREMENTS:
* Legal or strong HR background required
* Ability to respond appropriately to sensitive inquiries or complaints
* Ability to build effective business partnerships with clients and local stakeholders
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* Good analytical skills to identify issues and trends
* Ability to absorb detailed information quickly
* Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to senior management
* Results oriented; ability to drive change with positive, imaginative and flexible approach
* Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

* Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels from clerical employees through to senior management

* Good knowledge of ER policies, practices and philosophy
* Working knowledge of employment law in the Philippines
* Experience advising on ER issues and actively managing ER cases, including disciplinary issues, grievances, performance monitoring and investigations
* Experience working in the financial services industry would be a plus
* Must be fluent in English
