The Role:
The CSES Programme covers the design, construction, operation and maintenance of JPMorgan’s critical electrical & mechanical systems supporting Data Centres, Trading areas and other business critical systems. The primary focus of this position will be to manage the operations of the critical systems in India, Pakistan & Sri Lanka while providing support for the whole lifecycle of the critical systems. Close liaison with the IT Department’s Data Centre Operations team and other functions within Corporate Real Estate (CRE) will be required.
This is an operational role that will involve scheduled after hours work and incident management support, possibly at odd hours.
Responsibilities;
* Implement & operate the facilities in accordance with JPMorgan’s global Critical Systems Operations Standards.
* Provide incident management support.
* Carry out design, operation and maintenance audits of the critical systems to ensure statutory compliance and operational availability of the critical systems engineering infrastructure.
* Undertake the Project Management and successful delivery of critical systems driven projects.
* Assist with effective financial budgeting and planning.
* Appoint and manage third party contractors, vendors and consultants as required to execute the workload requirements of the position.
* Collate and manage critical systems engineering records including asset registers, record drawings, test records, etc.
* Provide due diligence and landlord discussion for asset management transactions and renewals relating to critical systems.
* Review engineering design, operation and maintenance documentation and comment on best practice, value engineering, JPMorgan’s standards compliance and project delivery.
* Assist the CSES team with the delivery and management of all engineering matters.
* Act as the first point of contact for all critical systems issues in the Philippines.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:
* A relevant degree (electrical, mechanical or building services).
* Preferably professionally registered engineer.
* Lesser qualifications with greater relevant experience will be considered.
Experience/Skills Set:
* Minimum 5 years Design and Operations engineering experience with Critical Systems including data centers and preferably trading floors.
* Experience within an MNC, preferably within the Banking sector.
* Familiar with local engineering practice and engineering related laws and regulations.
* Experience in project and vendor management.
* Sensitive to and capable of managing all aspects of engineering risk.
* A creative and lateral thinker being open to new ideas and able to adopt and implement change effectively.
* Team Player.
* High ethical standard.
* Able to manage change and diversity.
* Good all round communication skills, in receiving, delivering, and broadcasting information; with good command of local language and English to effectively communicate with both local and international clients, end users, and co-workers
* proficiency in English is a must.
* Computer literate with windows, word, excel and power point. AutoCAD skills an advantage.
* Direct working experience with foreigners an advantage
