Director for Development
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Manila software development team – oversees the analysis, design, programming,debugging and modification of computer programs for commercial or end user applications
- Sets goals and provides guidance to team members to achieve goals in accordance with established policies.
- Performance is assessed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules
- Interactions normally involve matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company
- Employee Development and Performance Management
- Write , review and revise product/service requirements and specifications
- Define solutions and tasks required for delivery
- Deliver solutions to client and provide necessary technical support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering preferably with post graduate degree
- At least 10 years in the software development industry, 5 years of which was spent in a managerial or director capacity
- Extensive Global Management experience is a definite plus
- Experience working on an Agile development team and a thorough understanding of Agile development principals required
- Thorough understanding of Object Oriented Programming using JAVA 5.6, Eclipse, NetBeans, IntelliJ IDEA tools or other Java IDEs, Spring and Hibernate Frameworks
- Previous experience with Airline Reservation Systems and other airline solutions is a definite advantage
- Open to working on flexible hours having the need to collaborate with internal and external clients of different timezones
