6.1-inch Huawei Ascend Mate becomes official

First leaked back in December, the Huawei Ascend Mate is probably the biggest smartphone we’e seen anywhere with its gargantuan 6.1-inch display screen.

Huawei is pushing its own custom mobile chip with the Ascend Mate, the same one they used in the Ascend D1 Quad XL which they launched back in December.

Huawei Ascend Mate specs:
6.1-inch 720p display @ 1280×720 pixels
Gorilla Glass
Huawei 1.5GHz quad-core processor
2GB RAM
32GB internal storage
3G/HSPA+
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth
8MP camera @ 1080p
Li-Ion 4050mAh battery
Android Jellybean 4.1.2

The Ascend Mate trumps the current 5.5-inch display size of the Galaxy Note 2. No word as to when Huawei will bring to the Philippines but their track record from last year might mean they could be a bit late.

I remember the days when Nokia introduce the tiny 8810…then became so large, the nokia 7650…

There will come a time that size doesn’t matter because soon phone will be as compact as a contact lens.

Anyway note two is so huge…then now this. What’s next?! 32″ phonblet?!
