Alcatel’s re-entry into the mobile handset market in the Philippines is marked by two unique features — affordable, dual-SIM Android handsets. The Alcatel One Touch 918N is the latest handset that they released earlier this quarter.
The Alcatel Blaze Glory 918N isn’t the first dual-SIM Android phone to be available in the Philippines. The likes of Cherry Mobile and Lenovo already introduced similar handsets since last year.
The first handset they came out with was the black variant and they’ve also introduced a white model lately, which looks way better compared to the dark-blue one.
The dual-SIM implementation is pretty simple but with some limitations — i.e., you will need to place the data SIM on the 1st SIM slot in order to achieve faster 3G speeds; the 2nd SIM slot only supports EDGE/GPRS.
The Alcatel Blaze Glory does not has the most impressive hardware specifications. It’s decent but don’t expect too much from it.

Running two active SIM in one handset can significantly affect the battery life so that 1300mAh might pose a problem when you have both SIM slots active and running on mobile 3G.

Guys if your planing to buy those pocket wifi thing that cost 5k and up, I think you should consider buying this one…I have mine and I am using it with my extra sim plus as a pocket wifi hotspot… this is really amazing, nicely built and its compact.
I am using it for a month now and I have no problem until now, I have those emergency pocket charger to that can help boost the battery life of my alcatel when I am in hotspot mode.
I have to admit,it has a strong signal than my other phones..

Been thinking about this phone ever since early reviews of it came out a couple of months ago. If only it was capable of playing Flash games in-browser like the HTC Explorer (Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon S1, CPU: 600 Mhz Cortex A5, GPU: Adreno 200)…
So hindi siya capable magplay ng flash games using your browser? Pero yung mga fruit ninja type pwede naman laruin using this phone?

i actually like this model. fast, not that laggy, and has wide viewing angles (compared to galaxy Y that has limited viewing angles) wish they make cooked roms for this model though.

Hi, I inquire about the case. 1500 for full replacement from white to black. It is so expensive. Notice its about 25% of the original price of the phone. Di ko marerecommend sya. Since, housing is just a cover and got easily be scratched. Lalo na yung white. pero kayo bahala. Nadisapoint lang ako s Alcatel na maningil ng ganon kamahal para lang sa housing.
They should considered na ang housing sana ay ginawa para iprotect ung phone hindi para lang madagdagan ng gastos.

Yes, it hangs and blacks out frequently. I also experienced some “Insufficient storage”.
Battery is discharging fast as well.
