Earlier today, BlackBerry launched their newest flagship smartphone in the Philippines — the BlackBerry Z10. BlackBerry also announced that all 3 carriers (Globe, Smart, Sun) will be offering the handset on a BB plan.

The BlackBerry Z10 will be available in stores starting March 19 with a suggested retail price of Php29,990.

Since the Z10 also comes with LTE, carriers will be able to offer it when available (I’ve confirmed from a Globe rep that they will offer free LTE with the handset).

I think the way to revive an ailing company as BB is to bring the price closer to what the people can afford. But placing BB z10 at such a premium price might turn off some buyers, because there are lots of brands coming out with great or even greater specs phones out there for a few thousand less. If BB will lower their price for z10, m sure lots of people will buy it, because BB has a following here in the Philippines.

if you’re speaking from a purely android-based pov, yes this is lacking. but then again, this has always been the trend with device manufacturers using android, pataasan ng specs kasi they do not own the OS. do not judge BB10 based on specs alone (dual core). check it out and let yourself be blown away by their software. BB10 and WP8 are the way forward.

@Black I own a Z10 at puro kasinungalingan sinasabi mo. daming bad reviews? sige nga asan ang reference mo? make sure na hindi yan iOS or Android biased na sites.

@Black: Ganun naman talaga ang blackberry. Kumakain ng tanga yun kagaya mo. And kahit sinong first timer sa BB10 e siyempre mangangapa pa yun.

Sana lang nilagay na lang nila sa 20-23k range.

Maicheck to sa Recto (bagsakan ng mga brand new phones na walang warranty)

Siguro mga nasa 18k to. :))

with all due respect Mr. cherry mobile man, I am referring to this particular phone which is not a good investment after all. with that price range of 29k+, i can purchase similar specs and performance but can allocate extra bucks on my pocket.

daming bad reviews ang BB Z10. it’s not even user-friendly and way too pricey. buying this phone is a bad investment.

I think the price is just right for a flagship. The specs are really not bad. 2GB RAM, 720p display, and LTE. Something new and interesting for the enterprise segment of the market to deploy. I wish BB all the luck with this product.
off topic: the Nokia Lumia 920 is currently the most competitively priced flagship selling at P27K with an excellent screen and nicely-performing camera.

BB is one of the few brands with their OWN OS. 29K is a good price. Kung nakikisabit ka lang ng OS e.g. android…… what do you expect? delayed or no updates at all
