Cherry Mobile Trident is a Triple SIM phone

Cherry Mobile has a new phone that’s capable of handling 3 SIM cards at the same time called the Trident (Q300). Yes, this is probably the first triple-SIM phone to be marketed in the Philippines — and it’s got a TV tuner too.

Designed to look like a cross between the Nokia E72 and the BlackBerry Curve, Cherry Mobile’s Trident phone was launched just last week (July 1) with a suggested retail price of Php6,450.

Cherry Mobile Q300 Trident

* Triple SIM, Triple Standby
* Quad Band GSM
* 2.46” TFT LCD
* 2MP camera
* WiFi
* Analog TV with Record
* FM Radio with Record
* up to 4GB on microSD
* Bluetooth

It’s got an optical trackpad too, just like the ones from BlackBerry. All 3 SIM cards are active but only two are MMS-capable and can connect to GPRS. Not sure what the battery life would be like though {via PTB}.

    sir yuga, we’re hoping that you could give us detailed review of this Cherry Mobile Trident. A friend of mine has this and says he haven’t encountered any “bugs” so far but there’s a lot of “reklamo’s” over this said unit.

    help us decide: to buy or not to buy.

    this will be indeed helpful for people like me who travel around manila a lot, carries only a small bag and uses 5 sims.

    thanks!

    I actually bought the this phone. The battery lasts quite long with moderate use. I used it with average calls and txting for 3 days. I dont know how long it would have lasted because I decided to charge it anyway.

    It’s great for basic use. The java browser works, but I dont like it.

    It has a TV which is quite interetsing :) and has saved me from many boring waiting moments.

    Data entry could be cumbersome though.

    And contrary to what is mentioned here previously, yes you can change the themes.

    Im looking to buy a tri-sim phone. Ive seen the Trident in one of the Mall shops here but I found out about the Torque Trinity. Its an earlier launched a Tri-Sim phone by Torque. A blog I found said it has Java and can access Gmail and major social networking sites. Does the Cherry Trident do this too?

    Would appreciate it if you could write a post comparing the two.

    Looking forward to that! Thanks!^_^

    Most of us are still looking for a wide features (3g, High MP, OS) but this phone is just 6k (not bad for others), for me this is a good phone and will use it for smart, globe and pldt landline,.. walang perfect na phone sa ngayon kahit kaya nilang gumawa pagsamasamahin….

    why everyone claims to be the first one to release a 3-sim in market…torque also did the same claim last may…hahaha.

    but it is quite promising for a 3-sim to be out in the market today…let us cross our fingers for the next 4-Sim phone to be out in the coming months…
