The Lenovo K800 got a lot of news coverage last January during the 2012 CES because it featured an Intel Atom-powered Android smartphone. It heralded the entry of Intel into the lucrative and fast-growing smartphone market that’s dominated by Qualcomm.
The Lenovo K800 is the second Atom-based smartphone, following the Xolo 900 which was launched in India back in April 2012.
Since the Atom chip used here is not an SoC (System on Chip), other functions like cellular features have to be separately sourced elsewhere resulting to the device being a bit thicker than usual.

The early prototype scored 3850 on Quadrant and 27.5fps on Nenamark2.
For now, Lenovo is releasing the K800 in China but since the company (the mobile division) has started its presence in the Philippines last year, it’s very likely they will also launch it here.
