Coolpad’s Ivvi could be world’s thinnest phone at 4.7mm

Chinese smartphone-maker Coolpad has a promo page floating around that teases their upcoming smartphone to be a record-breaker — the Ivvi. At just 4.7mm, it could dethrone the current title holder for having the thinnest profile.

Yugatech 728x90 Reno7 Series

We currently have the Vivo X5 Max as the world’s thinnest smartphone which measures at 4.75mm. If the Ivvi pushes though from China’s third largest smartphone company, it will just be thinner than the X5 Max by 0.5mm and by 0.15mm for the 4.85mm-thick Oppo R5.

No solid specs were included along the image other than its 4.7-inch display and what looks like a plastic body. Stay tuned as more information surfaces in the coming days.

    Ang sama naman ng name ng brand, parang brand ng panty liner. Coolpad, stay cool and fresh all day.

    The problem with these thin phones – mediocre battery endurance. The Oppo R5,for instance, is a great phone but it’s the one thing that hinders its acceptance. Palugi na nga ata binebenta ng mga telco rito sa Singapore eh kasi walang bumibili.

      Kung palugi, why don’t you scalp the phones and sell em like gray market?

      @Ivvi
      Myphone better rebrand this one. Agua Katana!

    Wala pa yata akong napapansin na may nagbebenta ng coolpad dito sa m.manila.

    Mas prefer ko ang malaking battery capacity kahit na makapal.
