Been trying to order the Google Nexus 4 since I arrived here in San Diego, CA yesterday but to no avail. The waiting time is now between 6 to 7 weeks for the 8GB and already sold out again for the 16GB.
Fortunately, during our tour of San Diego City today, one of the delegates from Vietnam (yeah, the guys who made those iPhone leaks) has one which I borrowed for a short while.
The handset feels really good on the hands, has that very solid feel and some heft that gives the impression it’s the same build quality as the iPhone 4/4s with the sandwiched glass body. Android 4.2 Jellybean is very smooth on this device.
The back panel has that glossy finish, feels like glass or some very hard transparent polycarbonate material that laminates the glittery design. Despite having a 4.7-inch panel, the Nexus 4 feels a little short (because it’s wider than your usual handset like the One X, Optimus 4X HD or S3).
All in all, it’s a pretty neat Nexus handset.
We tried the rear camera on the device and the shots are impressive. Here are a few photos we took from it.

We’ll add some more info about it later after we’ve download Antutu and Quadrant for some benchmarks.
I have one. It was given to me this Christmas. It is AWESOME
bakit kaya mas mahal price nyan dito kesa sa ibang bansa?? Ayos sna kung same price pa din

is it true n may lumabas n Nexus 4 32gb?
When will the 3G enabled Google nexus 7 32GB officially arrive in the Philippines? Any news regarding this? Pls share. Thank you in advance..
Been using this phone for the past few days and it’s great. My only problem is that the hardware feels a lot like the iPhone. My GNex is going to retire. :)
The back panel of the Nexus 4 is made of glass and not some hard polycarbonate. However, like the iPhone4/4s, it is prone to cracking when bumped into a hard surface or corner (obviously it’s glass! check out the verge). I’n not sure if Gorilla glass is really that strong enough to withstand daily abuses. My previous phone, A Sammy S2, has a scratch in the front panel and it really irritates me because Gorilla glass is supposed to be scratch-proof. It was the same story with my iPhone 4.

scratch resistance lang ata gg hnd scratch proof.
I’m sure the gray market prices will be more competitive. I doubt LG Philippines will sell alot at that price. For 25k you can already get an iPhone 4 which is more appealing to a lot of consumers, and majority of android users are budget conscious too.
I would rather buy in Google Play because it’s more affordable! That’s Google’s goal for this device in the first place. To make it sell like hotcakes kaya nga mura nilang binebenta sa Play Store. Won’t buy it in LG Stores!
Good luck buying it from Play Store! I thought that I’ll be one of the first (in the Philippines) to own this device courtesy of my brother in UK, unfortunately the device is still in SOLD OUT status. Google blundered this BIG TIME!
I’ll still buy this though even if it’s 25K, it’s a steal even at that price IMO.

Sabi nga sa lg megamall 1st week of december daw. Reserved a unit pero i doubt na darating nga yan. 25k nga raw.
walang google play sa atin kaya LG magbebenta kay mas mahal.
I hope the 25k price tag in retail stores is not true. Although I’m sure the Online stores will make an effort to match the SRP. So I would rather buy there.
a few minutes of video recording and you’re shit out of luck with it’s memory storage.
s3 killer.. nexus lineup ftw
Nah. Nexus phones has always been the epitome of other models. it was like HTC Desire was modeled to the Nexus One with higher RAM, while Samsung Galaxy S3 was modeled with the Nexus 3 or the Galaxy Nexus. Kumbaga nga, Nexus will always be the leader. That’s why Google always makes sure that the latest ROMS would be ported to the Nexus family. :)
Ganda ah!
Camera + UI + Performance + Looks
Goob job, Google/LG :)
*drools*
hopefully pag dating ng nexus 4 sa pinas below 18K lol
Ideally sana yung below 18k. pero LG Philippines said its going to be around 25k or P24,999 to be exact. and will be available first week of December!
