According to a source close to HTC Philippines, the HTC Sensation (the Taiwanese company’s own dual-core flagship smartphone) is scheduled to be released in the Philippines this June.
The problem though is that, by that time, the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the LG Optimus 2X will have a head start at attracting most of the early adopters who are willing to shell out enough dough for their premium price.

HTC Sensation specs:
4.3 inches @ 540 x 960 pixels
1.2 GHz dual-core processor
Adreno 220 GPU
Qualcomm MSM 8260 Snapdragon
Gorilla glass display
HTC Sense v3.0 UI
1 GB storage, 768 MB RAM
up to 32GB via microSD, 8GB included
HSDPA 14.4 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, WiFi hotspot
Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP
8MP autofocus camera, dual-LED flash
1080p @ 30fps video, stereo sound recording
GPS with A-GPS support
Li-Ion 1520 mAh
Android OS, v2.3 (Gingerbread)
HTC Philippines will have a hard time pitching this device above Php30k (actually their usual price for a flagship phone is about Php35k — like the Desire and the Desire HD). The obvious culprit is the Optimus 2x with its Php28k price point.
So in order to compete with the two other smartphones, HTC will have to sacrifice and pull a magical Php29,990 price tag or lower on this one. The date and price is not yet final though so we’ll update you once we get more solid information.

sus! kung namamahalan kayo, wag nyong bilhin. ang dami nyong mga sinasabi.
Uo nga naman, Kung ayaw nyo wag kayo bumili kesyo mas gusto nyo galaxy s 2 fine edi yun bilin nyo.
correct ka dyan pre!!! for me d best talaga ang HTC sensation.

front camera: VGA (loser)
*it’s obvious that SGS2 is the WINNER!!!
Bwaaahahaha bias……… sg s2 and lg optimus us look like the same the only difference in the appearance is the thickness and the brand logo, no originality and common design wha haha poor design. The htc as aluminum casing and edge looks verry elegant and expensive winner. With dual flash camera winner, with qHD resolution winner, full display on web browser compair to gs2 winner , with 3d look on it’s lates ui 3.O winner again. The front camer is not much use no need for mega pixed, the internal memory 1gb is enough becos it’s expandable upto 32gb. most advantage added features of GS2 is useless mapansin Lang whaaaaahahaha. Looser. Htc is the winner.
HTC Disadvantages:
*Death grip
http://www.gottabemobile.com/2011/06/06/htc-sensations-death-grip-killing-wifi-bluetooth-signals/
*NO unibody design
*poor camera
*poor battery life

*poorer s-lcd display than other htc displays even though qHD resolution
pfff.sgs2 fanboy? have u even tried using HTC? HTC has the best UI among android phones.napaka poor ng UI samsung boring xDD
Karl,
If you read other reviews out there some prefer Sensation over SGS2 because sense is much better than wiztouch. and others also prefer the solid build quality of htc over the plasticky samsung. so for some these two reasons alone overcome the “superior” SGS2 specs.
i agree.. for some the actual “experience” is all that matters. htc sense is simply the best UI for android….. though, AS OF NOW, im eyeing for SGS2. hahaha
HTC Sensation’s 1GB internal storage is not enough since there are still a lot of apps that do not allow you to save to SD and the 1gb gets used up very quickly.
*add that to tons of Sensation’s disadvantages, hahaha
at 30k the sensation is expensive but not more expensive than iphone4. im comparing it against iphone 4 because sensation is competing against iphone 4 and to some is actually an iphone killer. moreover, when iphone 5 comes out i doubt it will be selling at 30k. wouldnt it at least be 36k?

dont buy HTC is China Made! we Condem the chinese happened for filipino fisherman and spratly ina-ankin nila masyado cla ganid at swapang malaki na ang total land area samantala ang spratly 480 miles ang layo samantala ang spratly 80 miles lang it means belong to philippine inlands. I’M PROTEST DONT 3X BUY ANY ITEMS CHINESE MADE PRODUCTS…all item’s are imatation….i’m not fanatic chinese products….
HTC is a Taiwanese brand. Taiwan has more issues with China than we do. Someone needs to brush up on their current events.
Sige good luck trying to boycot all products with Chinese components. You might have to move to the mountains, wear shirts made of banana leaves, and forage for fruits for food.
Iphone padin ang best OS.
Nope did you know ios displace bberry on number 2 slot? Becoz the number 1 today in USA and Asia is adroid os. Mag basa basa ka boy. I’m ios user and android Ginger bread user.
iOS(Iphone) padin ang the best.

Even though SGS2 is released earlier than Sensation, there are Sensation stocks already available here in the Philippines with prices as low as 28k (bargain?).
HTC tried their best to arrive here in the Philippines before SGS2 does because they know that they can’t fight against SGS2 head on. Sensation will surely lose.
Although the price of Sensation drops, nobody seems to be buying it. We’re all waiting for SGS2 even HTC-fanboys LOL.
I would have switched to HTC Sensation if only it has
*at least 8GB Internal Memory
*no DEATH GRIP issue
*better battery
*better camera
Heard a lot of bad news about GalaxyS2 as being less durable plus the plastic-build feeling.
HTC is still for the win!
Thanks Yuga. :) I’m aiming for the HTC Sensation XE!
if you’re having doubts regarding the phones. try to look for shmackdowns among the phones on youtube. this will give you enough hint what are the best quality and the differences among those smartphones :)
