Kogan Agora on Android announced

Kogan Technologies of Australia has announced its upcoming mobile phone running an Android OS — the Kogan Agora and the Agora Pro.

Looking like the Samsung Blackjack or the SGH i780, the Kogan Agora is custom-made in China and marketed in Australia {via}.

2.5 inch TFT-LCD touch screen display
3G/HSDPA
256MB onboard + 128MB flash
expandable via microSD

The Kogan Agora phones will be on sale by January 29, 2009 at a retail price of AU$299 and AU$399 (Pro) — about Php10,000 and Php13,000 each. Not bad at all.

The Kogan Agora Pro will have WiFi, GPS, and a 2MP camera as a bonus from the Kogan Agora. Not to mention the other killer feature that Android has – threaded SMS (of Treo and iPhone fame), and a Webkit-based browser.
