LG launches Optimus G

LG has recently launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Optimus G – a 4.7-inch Android quad-core beast and a serious contender to other leading smartphones currently out in the market.

As mentioned in our previous article, the Optimus G carries 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processors and 2GB of RAM. It also has a 4.7-inch True HD IPS PLUS display with a pixel density of 320 ppi. To give you an idea how that fares with competition the iPhone 5 has a pixel density of 326 ppi, the One X has 312 ppi and the Galaxy S3 has 306 ppi. The display also uses Zerogap Touch technology or in-cell touch to make it thinner.

LG went all-out on G’s camera with its 13 megapixel backside-illuminated sensor with an f/2.4 autofocus lens with dual-LED flash. It uses features such as Time Catch Shot, Cheese Shutter (say “Cheese!” to capture), Smart Shutter, and Low Light Shot Noise Reduction. For connectivity it has LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and MHL support for HD output to your HDTVs.

The Optimus G also uses Cross-Tasking with User Experience (UX) features that allows you to run various applications at the same time. It’s like multi-tasking on steroids. One example is the QSlide Function that shows two different screens simultaneously on one display. Other UX functions include Live Zooming, Dual Screen Dual Play, QuickMemo and Screen Zooming to name a few.

For aesthetics, the Optimus G’s front is all glass while the back uses LG’s Crystal Reflection process which shows different patterns depending on the viewing angle and lighting.

tagal naman lumabas ng lg optimus g sa pinas. mauuna pa ata lumabas htc one x+. it is really hard to choose between these 2 android phones. ok na sana un lg, mataas na specs. more customizable. bagsak lang un quality ng picture compare to other high-end phone like htc one x and ss3 according sa mga reviews na nabasa ko.
sana available na sila 2 week of november para makabili na ako. kainip mag-wait.

mas maganda nga ang xiaomi MI-2 kesa sa lg kasi same specs, but its only 300usd while optimus g is 600usd, tapos jelly bean pa ang xiaomi MI-2. techie rin ako and i know that this phone would be a better choice, pero in terms of new features, cguro lamang ang lg, lalo na sa qslide function, pwede manood ng vids habang nagtttxt, downside ng lg, software update, tska overpriced, kaya for me kung gusto mo ng same specs pero half the price mag xxiaomi MI-2 na lang ako.
