LG Optimus Pro to challenge Chacha and Galaxy Pro

Listen to article

LG has also announced their very own full qwerty Android phone with the Optimus Pro targeting the same market as the HTC Chacha and the Samsung Galaxy Pro.

At the moment, we have the Galaxy Pro B7150 and the HTC Chacha in this category already available in the market.

LG Optimus Pro C660
800MHz processor
Qualcomm MSM7227T chipset
2.8-inch display @ 240 x 320 pixels
QWERTY keyboard
150MB storage
256MB RAM
up to 32GB via microSD, 2GB included
3G/HSDPA 3.6Mbps
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi hotspot
Bluetooth 3.0
3.15 MP fixed-focus camera
GPS w/ aGPS support
Li-Ion 1500mAh
Android OS, v2.3.3

The LG Optimus Pro is the 3rd Android device of this form factor and it looks like it wants to undercut the price of the other two with an estimated retail price of about P10,800 {via}.

I love my LG Pro. Interface is very fast coz processor is alread 800MHz for a small phone. A high tech phone with an affordable price. I only wish though it has the inner camera as wel…

Does anyone know if we can upgrade the Gingerbread to something higher?

i like the fact that the screen is HVGA Vertical, and not horizontal like ChaCha or galaxy pro. more apps would be compatible to it (since most apps are optimized for vertical screens)

bummer just saw the video… no LED flash!!
I kinda like having a LED flash for a flashlight very handy!

wow! this is a bargain! the price point is way too competitive.. and it’s android! now with offline access to google maps.. what else can you ask for??:)) (well there’s always something we can ask for (more) but at least for this one, it’s already a good deal)

I couldn’t agree more. Though the processor is really a plus.

This actually looks nice.
and the portrait orientation makes it more easier to use than chacha. Problem is, does it have a LED Flash for its camera?

Also, there are no directional keys? +1 for ChaCha for that feature.

I also kinda like the .com button on Chacha

About time!!! I was torn b/w chacha and galaxy pro but this should be a contender especially when it comes to price!!!
One thing though, the resolution is somewhat a disappointment.
