LG’s latest Android smartphone is this mid-range handset called LG Optimus Sol (LG E730), probably a replacement to existing handsets such as the Optimus Chic (LG E720).
This 9.8mm device uses AMOLED display instead of the proprietary Nova display LG used in the Optimus Black.

LG Optimus Sol E730 specs:
3.8″ Ultra AMOLED display @ 480×800 pixels
1.0GHz SnapDragon processor
512MB RAM
up to 32GB via microSD (2GB included)
5MP autofocus camera
3G/HSDPA
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 2.1
GPS w/ aGPS support*
1500mAh Li-Ion battery
Android 2.3 Gingerbread
This is probably the first time LG uses an AMOLED display on their handsets, and although they call it Ultra AMOLED, it seems to be similar to Samsung’s Super AMOLED found in some of their Galaxy line {via}.
Don’t know if that’s an admission that their very own Nova Display (used in the Optimus Black) isn’t at par with AMOLEDs.
No word as to release date in the Philippines or price point.
