That's nice to hear. I will start keeping myself posted on Meizu's activities regarding updates.

I really think this phone's a steal, I just need a little more convincing :p

I just recently updated my MX 4-core to Flyme 1.1.7 (released Jan 09, 2013). I bought it with Flyme 1.0 installed just this Saturday.

I've read in the official Meizu forums that a Flyme 2.0 (Android 4.1 Jellybean) update is on the works for the MX 4-core. Prediction date by end of January 2013.

i was seriously considering to get this phone.

biggest concerns were:
1. accessory availability - i want to protect my phone as much as possible since i'm a bit of a (self-confessed) klutz.
2. Meizu support - i have no idea (and admittedly) have not researched how fast/diligently Meizu rolls out software updates. Anyone out there know about Meizu's track record on this? I could opt to mod my way through this but there's still something nice knowing that your own phone manufacturer will give future updates to your phone; no feeling of the phone just being a marketing tool so they get more market attention (ie LG Optimus 2x).
