before you say that 41 MP is just a gimmick, read this first:

To the hecklers and naysayers : Have you been blinded by platform fanboyism?
Which phone has an FM transmitter?
How about HDMI out?
3.5″ video out for S-Video RCA?
WiFi sharing over DLNA?
Truly mind blowing 5MP picture from a 41MP sensor that may rival the Sony mobile Exmor R currently found in Xperia 2011/2012 and iPhone 4s?
f/24 value?
1.2 sensor size?
How about something that is more practical, eh?
LED video light?
Carl Zeiss crystal lens optics?
1080p with a single core CPU?
a full 3D OpenGL FPU?
Magnetometer?
Accelerometer?
Corning Gorilla Glass?
4″ AMOLED by Samsung?
Coolest accessories, from cover with lens cap, tripod attachment, external backup battery, etc.,
Hundreds, if not thousands, of REALLY useful apps?
and oh, did I mention Xenon flash that is 200% stronger than the ones in Nokia N8, and a bit more than the Nokia N82?
What SINGLE phone has ALL of these features? ^_^
To those asking why didn’t up the display resolution? it’s because there are way to many symbian apps that rely on that dimension. the last thing nokia needs is resolution fragmentation on an exiting OS.
@generic
Not at all, they’re just spec wise. The MP myth ended up years ago. Carl Zeiss optics are naturally good, you can see from the products their partnerships produce. Yet I agree, pictures above 25MP doesn’t do much, it all comes down to the quality of lens and photographic sense.
lol, 41mp for a phone cam? playin the mp game too much nokia?
It’s a camera with a built-in phone!
But why use a 360×480 screen?
It has a Xenon flash as well as an LED video light.
true dat! pag apple talaga iba reaction ng mga tao. magic kuno. :D
I’ll just wait and see…
@joyce the N8 has just 256 MB ram, it never borked on me when taking 12MPX pictures, 512 MB is more than enough for this trivial task.
how’s the thickness sir abe? ilan ang dimension nito?
360 x 640 resolution is the technical limitation of Symbian. Always.
Hey genius! It’s not really 41MP image size but 5Mp x 8 oversampling. Meaning to say, a better looking 5MP picture than any other 5MP picture taken by a point and shoot or a camera phone. There are lots of 8Mp and 12MP camera phones out their with sucky quality pictures. Next time, aim before shooting, you just might shoot yourself, LOL!
I’m worried about the memory though. 10 shots and you’re finished! :D
True, but not in Nokia 808’s case.
The camera sensor takes 41mp but the resulting photo is reduced to 8mp/5mp which means high quality images with “zero noise”.
It has Xenon+Led flash combo. Led flash for video recording.
i know what a cameraphone is. my problem is why do these phone manufactures keep on adding “features” that we really don’t need. and sadly, many are sucked into it.
I’m sure kung Apple ang gagawa niyan sa iPhone, mapapamura kayo sa tuwa. Pero dahil Nokia ito, hahanapan niyo talaga ng something negative.
Sige nga ilagay nyo ang inyong DSLRs sa bulsa ninyo. tingnan ko lang, kung di kayo mag mukhang engot. sabi nga eh, the best camera is the one in your pocket!
