Not to be out-done, Nokia Philippines also has their own 60% off one-day promo for the new Nokia C6. Guess when? It’s November 13, 2010 at 1 to 3PM. See poster below.
On November 13, 2010 at 1pm to 3pm, participating stores will sell the Nokia C6 at 60% off. That’s from an SRP of Php15,100 down to just Php6,490.
Stores include Nokia Stores in SM Megamall, SM North EDSA, SM Cebu and Gaisano Davo City.
This is obviously a targeted response to the LG Optimus One 50% Promo Sale.
Update: The 60% discount of Php15,100 is actually Php6,040, not the Php6,490 that’s shown on the poster (it’s 57.02% discount). I clarified this with Nokia PR and they said that DTI was the one who approved it and it’s possible that a 12% VAT was applied after the 60% discount. If that’s the case though, it should have been Php6,040 + 12% VAT which is Php6,764.80.
My guess is that Nokia wanted to match the sale price of LG Optimus One at Php6,490. The applied discount on the C6 was actually 57.02% but it would not look good from a marketing perspective so they just rounded it off to 60%.
nokia only has 50 units for sale, hence line is getting shorter.

This promo of theirs is plain bullshit!!! they shouldn’t be posting 1-3pm… they are deceiving the public by saying that there is a time frame for you to buy. but reality is, they have limited stocks…. Cleary, they have violated DTI rules, they should have announced First 100 on the line from 1-3 and not plainly 1-3.
Wouldn’t be using NOKIA on this lifetime or the next….

hahahha buti nlng pag dating ko sa SM north ay dumeretso na ako sa loob kahit sobrang haba ng pila sa nokia. and the sales clerk inform me that there are only 60 units to be sold, wat a f*ck right? sa mga sinabihan ko pag labas ko ng nokia center abt 60 units lng ang ilalabas at hnd kyo naniwala ayan til 1pm humahaba ng humahaba na ang pila. and i gt there at abt 10:30 am/ pero mahaba na ang pila. sa LG ba madami nilabas?
sa LG wala man nilabasan… kami lang ang nilabasan kasi tagaktak ng pawis inabot namin wala man kami napala sumakit pa tuhod ko dahil more then 6 hours ako nakatayo..
