Nokia E55: Live Pics @ Singapore

Listen to article

Nokia announced tonight a new successor to my favorite E51 phone — the even slimmer Nokia E55. Got live coverage here at the Showcase Nokia 2009 in Singapore.

To coincide with their announcements in Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, Nokia did a launch party here at Singapore. One of the highlights is the new E55 slim phone.

Probably one of the slimmest phones that came out of Nokia, the E55 is only 9.9mm thin and weighs just 54cc.

It has a very long battery life (rated at 1500mAh) which can last up to 28 days on stand-by and 8 hours of talk time.

how do you type on a half qwerty? do you need to press the key twice to get the second letter or you press either the left or the right key. eg. left for “Q” and right for “W”.

Keypad looks like the one from Sony Ericsson… I tried those; what a pain! I guess sanayan lang yan… I’m going to try the keypads for comfort once it’s out.
