Nokia officially announced today the E63 with features close to the earlier rumored specs we published here — half the price for half the specs.
A number of key features from the Nokia E71 are missing or have been downgraded in the new Nokia E63.

Downgrades:
- 3G (384Kbps), down from HSDPA 3.6Mbps
- 2MP camera, down from 3.2MP autofocus camera
- plastic casing, down from the sturdy metallic casing
- GPS has been left out
You still get the WiFi 802.11 b/g, the FM tuner and Bluetooth as well as high battery capacity (1500mAh).
I’m not sure what they did with the design that the phone has gotten thicker — from 10mm on the E71 to 13mm on the E63. It’s now lighter though — 126g vs. 127g on the E71 — which is surprising considering they’ve removed some parts and replaced the metal with plastic.
The $250 (~Php12,000) price tag might give it a nice appeal though.

wow! at PhP 12 k, this is a steal!
It would be around 15k.
if this still has HSDPA, i’ll get one
i think it’s already stated above that it only has 3G.
