Nokia rolls out Lumia Cyan update

Nokia has recently announced that it is rolling out the Lumia Cyan update across all supported devices in the coming weeks. The update is touted to bring a plethora of new features to Nokia Lumia handsets such as Action Center, Cortana and Wordflow just to name a few.

In addition to what was listed on our previous report, the Lumia Cyan update will also further improve Nokia’s imaging-centric apps like Creative Studio, Story Teller and Nokia Camera. Furthermore, Lumia 1520 and Lumia Icon users will benefit from an enhanced audio quality on their video recordings courtesy of Nokia Rich Recording and Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 sound.

As an added bonus, the Lumia Cyan update will also bring Living Images feature to Lumia 1520 and Lumia Icon which will further boost its camera performance by improving its low-light capabilities and adding continuous autofocus and RAW DNG support.

Do note that the Lumia Cyan is not only meant for Nokia’s high-end smartphones. Users who rock an entry-level and midrange Lumia handset will also benefit from the upgrade because they can upgrade their local HERE Drive app to the revamped HERE Drive+ free of charge.

The global roll out of the Lumia Cyan update has commenced last Wednesday and will automatically hit all supported Nokia Lumia devices running on Windows Phone 8 in the coming weeks. Below is the list of devices that will be getting the said update in the country.
