Octa-core Lenovo Golden Warrior A8 to launch July 18

Lenovo finally announces the official launch date for its Golden Warrior A8 – an LTE octa-core smartphone that is by far the cheapest we’ve seen. It’s slated to launch later this month with a price tag of no more than Php6K.

The Golden Warrior A8 will be officially launched this coming July 18 in China with prices ranging from $130 to $145 (approx. Php5.6K-Php6K). There’s still no news if the A8 will make its way to Philippine shores, but if it does it’s definitely going to be a threat to existing octa-core phones due to its affordable asking price.

    Mas gugustuhin ko yang lenovo na yan kesa sa cherry mobile magnum ksi ang cherry mobile medyo niloloko nila ang tao yung mga specs na naka display pero d naman totoo

    If CDMA lang sa China, pwede pa rin ito sa Pilipinas lalo na sa LTE. may LTE frequency ang Globe na CDMA ang network pero naka LTE mode. Ewan ko lang sa Smart kung meron din. Kumbaga nakikita ko sa Samsung S4 i9505 nakalagay yung isang mode ng LTE ay LTE over GSM at ang isa naman ay LTE over CDMA

    It has support for FDD-LTE which is used on GSM systems so pwede dapat yan sa atin. Most probably they have a variant for international use.

    arent all mediatek cellphones bad with GPS? as in instead of seconds you wait up to half an hour for a lock?

      Huh? I use it for navigation and lock in is just a few seconds. Not as fast as iPhone though.

    Nope, Lenovo’s Golden Warrior phones is a non-GSM, CDMA-only device. It won’t work with any network here in the Philippines even if you buy from www.etotalk.com.

      Kung sana ganyan rin yung price pagdating sa pinas. Pero may possibility na itataas pa yung price nian. Baka maging same price sa Cherry Mobile Magnum

      Pero mas pipiliin ko pa rin yung A8 kung ganyan rin ung price. Better specs at that price, it’s a no-brainer.

      Cherry Mobile phones aren’t even LTE.

      A8 even has 2GB.

      Where’s the comparison?
