Oppo Find 7 phone to get a whopping 50MP camera?

A leaked image online hints that the upcoming Oppo Find 7 smartphone will have a huge 50-megapixel sensor. Yes, even bigger than the Lumia 1020’s. It was also reported that the said device will be available in two different display variation.

The leaked image of a classic Ford (below) was posted online with resolutions stretching to 8160 x 6120. If you’re feeling skeptical the EXIF data of the image listed Oppo Find 7 as the camera name.

We know that pixel count alone doesn’t really dictate the overall quality of the image and some would even say that they’re just numbers, but this is the first time we’ve seen a sensor this big since Lumia 1020‘s 41-megapixel camera.

In addition, Oppo confirmed through their teaser that the device will be available in two different displays — a Full HD (1920 x 1080) and a QHD (2560 x 1440) variant.

Rumors suggest that the Full HD version will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 accompanied by 2GB of RAM, while the higher QHD model was said to be running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC and 3GB of RAM.

Oppo’s Find 7 will be officially launched this March 19 in Beijing. With the company planning to join the Philippine market this year, there’s a great chance that we’ll be seeing this monster-spec’d smartphone locally.

Sir Kevin Francisco, 2560×1440 is WQHD or Wide Quad High Definition and you are correct in giving the numbers. If Oppo find 7 sports this resolution, then your only mistake is the missing letter “W”. WQHD is a better than the 2K digital cinema projection which is 2048×1080. Even GSMARENA had mistakenly called 2560×1440 res as 2K res.

Just passing the information. I always visit your site and read stories that interest me.
