Qualcomm outs octa-core Snapdragon 615 and quad-core Snapdragon 610 SoC – 64-bit with LTE

Qualcomm Technologies has just announced today two new chipsets with integrated LTE and 64-bit capabilities – the octa-core Snapdragon 615 and the quad-core Snapdragon 610.

The Snapdragon 615 sports eight 64-bit ARM Cortex A53 cores while the Snapdragon 610 has four. The chipsets integrate the Qualcomm’s 3rd-generation LTE Cat4 modem and supports ARMv8 architecture.

Both SoCs will pack an Adreno 405 GPU that can support DirectX 11.2, Open GL ES3.0, Full Profile Open CL, and Quad High Definition (2560×1600) displays.

The Snapdragon 610 and 615 processors are anticipated to begin sampling in the third quarter of 2014 and the first commercial devices are expected in the fourth quarter of 2014.

  1. Qualcomm Snapdragon + 64-bit processing + LTE FTW!

Supot pa rin ang MediaTek at Intel Atom as always!

… let the bashing begin! :)

I don’t see any reason why these micro chip companies keep fooling us around? Why not make it usable for work? di lang pang games at pang FB di kumita ka pa gamit phone mo?
