Samsung Galaxy 5 i5503:
600 MHz processor
2.8” QVGA TFT capacitive @ 240×320 pixels
up to 16GB via microSD (1GB included)

HSDPA 7.2 Mbps
Bluetooth 2.1

The handset runs on Android OS, v2.1 (Eclair) and should be more widely available in stores.

I saw in most stores na may sign na upgradeable daw ang Galaxy 5 to Android 2.2 (Froyo). Totoo po ba yun Sir Abe? We have to be sure, you know. Thanks!

Abe, can you comment on the screen? I was told the screen quality while good enough, is really very different from the pack at the higher end.

@sony: Meron na ito sa Robinson’s Ermita. They sell it at P12,900.

medyo old post na but worth the info :)

@sir abe – “Torque Mobile has an Android with Dual-SIM. Watch out for that soon.” — this could be interesting, it could kill all competition, a true affordable Android phone, if they’ll sell it below 10k.

@simplynice93: i think htc smart lacks an important feature – wifi capability.

for me, i would then prefer this phone over smart.

This looks like a corby that has htc tattoo’s buttons. I’m having difficulty on what to buy: htc smart or this phone. Hope sir abe makes a full review of this phone.

@kahitanoito – would still go for the Spica.

@jeff – it’s the X10i. that’s the one I’m using.

@boring – Torque Mobile has an Android with Dual-SIM. Watch out for that soon.

what else is new? this is the same phone with a smaller LCD. What we need is a dual-sim and affordable Android phone.

Get that Samsung. Dual-sim Android phone!

this has qvga screen resolution which somehow limits the number of android apps u can install with it. spica has hvga which supports most apps on the android market..

i dont think it will kill spica specs wise. at tsaka pamura na ang spica, u can get it for 12-13k nalang..
