Samsung Galaxy Chat B5330: Qwerty on ICS

Samsung latest announcement in their entry-level ICS handset is the Galaxy Chat B5330. This ful-qerty smartphone is probably the successor to the Galaxy Y Pro but comes pre-installed with Ice Cream Sandwich.

As an added feature, this handset will come preinstalled with Quick Office editor and S-Planner. Judging from its looks, Samsung is aiming for the social media loving Android users.

Samsung Galaxy Chat B5330 specs:
3” TFT Capacitive LCD Screen @240 x 320 resolution (133ppi)
4GB internal storage
up to 32GB via microSD card
HSPA
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
2MP Camera
Bluetooth 3.0
Li-Ion battery 1200mAh
Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0
118.9 x 59.3 x 11.7mm (dimensions)
112g (weight)

Samsung did not indicate what processor this handset will be using but we reckon it could be their own chip running between 600MHz to 800MHz with ample RAM (256MB to 512MB) to run ICS smoothly.

There’s no word on when the Samsung Galaxy Chat will be announced here, but we think that it won’t take that long. We’ll update you guys once it’s locally launched.

when i first saw the title, i got excited because i really need to replace my nokia E63. then i saw the pictures and decide to hang on my E63 until some cellphone manufacturers get enough sense to match its looks and functionality.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Y Pro (GT-B5510). I love it. It made texting better. With Samsung Galaxy Chat, its a step down rather than a step up. Why such an inferior product? Should new products be better than the it replaces? 850 Mhz, single core cpu = molasses-slow running ice cream sandwich. wow? QVA screen? Is Samsung running out of better screens?
