Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 now official

MWC is barely starting and the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 just got announced. After so many months of waiting and speculation, it is now official with an 8-inch display, a quad-core processor, the S-Pen and more.

The tablet features an 8-inch 800 x 1280 display run by a 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos processor. It also brings the phone UI to a bigger screen. Specs aren’t really the thing to ‘Note’ here (sorry) since it’s all decent but nothing spectacular. It’s more about software.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 basically brings all the Note goodness into your tablet with the S-Pen and all the software features like Air View to come along with it. Love it or hate it, the design is pretty much like a bigger Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Oh, and did we mention? With the 3G version, it can make calls as well.

People are still waiting for the next “big/revolutionary” thing, not just higher specs. So far Apple and Samsung has not done this with the recent releases… baka sa SIV…

    Sir,

Do you happen to know where i can download the complete files necessary to revert my note 10.1 wifi version to ics? I have problems with my tablet when i updated to jellybean 4.1.2
It does not have any problems before. Plus, i noticecd that there are so many versions of 4.1.2. Mine is xxucma5.

    Thanks!

I don’t see the relevancy in this. They’re probably gonna refresh the Tabs in the next couple months. So why did they introduce this? And the reason that they wanted to fill a gap between the Tab 7.0 and the 8.9 is really pointless.

this is to compete with the ipad mini. it makes sense coz the ipad mini’s size is 7.9inches and so at 8 inches, this is the direct competitor for it. and again, still tramples the ipad mini specs-wise.

Display sucks. Samsung 7.7 is better.

This gadget might fill in the sub-20K/mid-tier tablet segment home to the Nexus 7 and iPad mini. The S3’s pebble identity has been used too much already. The marshmallow/pillow fascia may appeal to some of course. Anyways, Samsung is a reliable and go-to Android device these days.

The price of this will be slightly higher than iPad Mini’s 17-20k

You’re point is subjective. Sa’yo not better, for others, its better. There are just people who really like big screens. Ang tanong, naka Gorilla glass din kaya ito?

well I’ll still stick to my NOTE 2, I don’t like the specs of this BIGGER one, its only BIGGER but definitely not better
