From tomorrow, March 16, until March 31, Samsung will be holding a trade-up program for all variants of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+.
To avail, customers need to surrender an old premium smartphone, which has to be in good working condition, which will be then assigned a value by an agent. This amount is deducted from the SRP of the chosen device, and the customer simply pays the remainder of the price.
Payment options are either straight payment or installment.
Of course, old phone valuation is only valid for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+, but an interesting thing to note is that more than one phone can be traded up.

If you haven’t already, you can read our reviews of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ here:
oh! so sad, i was thinking of trading my Iphone 7 plus today thinking they have a fair valuation. looks like i need to sell my phone first or not to switch anymore to android if they were this unfair. #SODISAPPOINTED :(
Kagaguhan ang trade-in program na to. Sa halip na makamura ka, mapapamura ka sa ibibigay na value sa older phone mo. Daig pa nila pawnshop. Nakakainsulto ang offer nila.
The trade in program is rather poor since it drastically undervalues your trade in. The values are so low, you might as well keep the phone/s.
December issued Note 8 to S9= 15K, S9+= 22K. #WorstStrategy
You are better off selling your old device…
This trade-in is a BIG JOKE or shall I say a SCAM.
I tried to trade in my Smart S8, it was priced like 6k. So the total amount of S9 – 6k. Mind you my S8 is in good condition and few months old.
Question,
If I trade in my Globe S8+, granting that it is in excellent working condition and it is valued at P41,990, and I chose to get the S9+ 64GB valued P52,990, will I have to pay P11,000 only?
How does trade-in-top-up-value apply?
still 4k.
